Each was written, boarded and cut by Nick, with the images generated to a locked shot list rather than prompted one at a time.

How the work gets made

The process is a film process. Script, then boards and blocking, then generation against a shot list with continuity rules, then the edit. Nick builds the pipeline himself, using agentic coding tools to turn his own production doctrine into repeatable workflows, and he directs against the failure modes of the models, product scale, the AI look, drift between shots, the same way a director on set watches for a bad take.

He works in Seedance, Kling, Luma and Higgsfield for video, Midjourney, Seedream, GPT Image and Nano Banana for images, Magnific for upscaling, Suno for music, Blender for previsualization and DaVinci Resolve for the edit, and he builds his own skills, plugins and interfaces on top of Claude Code and Codex so the pipeline runs the way a set does. Fifteen years of live-action directing, including Apple: Memories and José Cuervo, is what the pipeline is built around.

What does an AI filmmaker do?

An AI filmmaker directs films whose images are generated or extended with AI models instead of, or alongside, a camera. Nick writes, boards, blocks and edits the same way he does on a live-action shoot, and the models replace the parts of production a brief cannot afford.
