Nick Paskhover

Nick Paskhover is a writer and director born in Los Angeles to Ukrainian Jewish immigrants. A graduate of USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, he has worked across commercials, documentaries, narrative films, and music videos. Nick brings a romantic sensibility to genre filmmaking.

His latest short, the psychological thriller Dance with Me, follows Anya (Laraine Newman) as she fights to hold onto Sasha (Elya Baskin), an elderly Holocaust survivor whose dementia blurs the boundaries between memory and reality.

His directing work includes Apple: Memories, Bristol Studio, Carbon & Hyde, José Cuervo and Portl M.

Nick wrote and directed Dance with Me, directed and produced Born from Dust: The Art of Richard Wilks with Simone Staff, and produced Pruning, directed by Lola Blanc, and Little One, directed by Chris Beyrooty and Logan Fields.

AI filmmaking

His portfolio includes Ooloo: Escape the Cult, Calidad, Flik: Return to the Mecca and SunnyGem.

Nick develops and refines agentic production workflows and tools for commercial and narrative AI filmmaking, with human creative direction guiding every stage. His work also explores hybrid films that bring AI-generated imagery and live action together.
